Any SprinxCRM user can import contacts to SprinxCRM from Excel file.

!important: Contact record ownership (field "Account manager") will be assigned to the user performing the contact import. So, you might consider to choose between two options: every user shall import "his/her" contact records or all contact records will be imported by one user and "account manager" will be reassigned manually later.

For example you can perform contact import in the following steps:

a) Prepare your data for import.
b) Put your contact data into import templates

1. if you want to import companies - choose "Import companies excel template EN" and fill in ONLY GREEN columns
2. if you want to import persons and link them to companies (step 1) - choose "Import persons in companies excel template EN" and fill in ONLY GREEN columns.
   
   • !important: Company names (column "Company") must be exactly same in both files otherwise record link will not be created and record will be discarded from an import batch.
3. if you want to import persons (WITHOUT link to companies) (step 1) - choose "Import persons excel template EN" and fill in ONLY GREEN columns

c) go to SprinxCRM -> My CRM -> Data Import (screenshots guide noted below) and keep data import order as described in step b.
d) Choose import type and follow on screen instructions

!! important: keep the order of an import steps - and prepare data carefully because data import is irreversible. If you will make a mistake during import you will have wrong contacts records in the SprinxCRM. And you will have to fix the records manually.

!! remember: because of a record duplicity checks - you can import a same record only once, it will NOT HELP to delete the wrong record and try to import it again. In that case the record will not be imported due to duplicity checks.

! Hint: test your import data on a small number of test records - if you will have an issue it will be less manual work to fix it.
