- Start the SprinxCRM application. Open About page by clicking SprinxCRM in the top bar. If your licence expired, this page is opened automatically.
- A new window will open, where you can find information about the current version and about the license currently installed. Click the “Add license“ button.
- Open a license file which you get form your dealer in a text editor, Notepad is the best.
- Now copy content of license file from Notepad to the form. The best way is to press Ctrl+A (this will select the key text), than press Ctrl+C (this will copy the text into clipboard). Insert the key into application by clicking into the text field and pressing Ctrl-V (this will insert the text). Then click the button “Save”. The key could be long so it would not be seen whole. It is important to copy the whole key without any modifications.
- If everything is OK, there will be informational window about the application. Now restart the application server using menu Start and choosing Run ...
- if you are running Windows Vista, type cmd directly into field under menu items, used for search, to invoke command line to type commands
- In the field Open, type the command iisreset and click OK. The IIS service (Microsoft Internet Information Services) will be restarted and the new licence key will be applied.
- If you are running Windows Vista simply type iisreset into command prompt opened in chapter 5. Once restard is finished, close the prompt
You can start the Sprinx CRM Start application again, now with the new license installed.
Alternate:
- Save your license into file named license.key
- Copy this file to the SprinxCRM web directory, typically C:\Program Files\Sprinx Systems\SprinxCRM\Web
- Now you need to restart the IIS service. Go to Start -> Run, type in iisreset and press OK
You can start the Sprinx CRM Start application again, now with the new license installed.
